Liam auditioned for the 2008 X-Factor (when he was 14). He made it all the way up to the judges house, but Simon Cowell told him that he wasn't quite ready to continue on wit the competition. In 2010, Liam returned with "Cry Me a River". He made it up to Boot Camp where he sang, " Stop Crying Your Heart Out". Then, he was put with 4 other boys and came in third for The X-Factor competition.
