Bet You Didn't Know!- Thanksgiving Post
      Here are some facts about Thanksgiving that I bet you didn't know:
    1. Thanksgiving didn't become a tradition until 200 years after the 1st Thanksgiving.
    2.The 1st Thanksgiving was in 1621. 
    3.The 1st Thanksgiving was a 3 day festival of eating, hunting, and other entertainment in honor of the Pilgrims 1st successful harvest .
    4. Didn't have turkey, pumpkin pie, or potatoes because they hadn't been introduced to New England yet. 
   5. They didn't have another Thanksgiving until 1789. President George Washington introduced the First Ever National Thanksgiving Holiday. It took place Thursday November 26, 1789. 
   6. Sarah Hale made a 30 year campaign to make Thanksgiving a national holiday. She published recipes for pumpkin pie turkey, and stuffing.
    7. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln announced that the nation would celebrate Thanksgiving every year on the final Thursday of November.

                                                 One Direction-Zayn Malik

      Zayn Malik is 1/5 of One Direction. He was born in West Lane, Baildon, Bradford, England. He was born to his British Pakistani father Yaser Malik and British mother, Patricia.  He has 1 older sister and 2 younger sisters. 
      In 2010, when Zayn was just 17, he auditioned solo for X-Factor. as his audition song, he sang "Let Me Love You" by Mario. All three judges said yes and he moved on throughout the X-Factor. He was eventually put with Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne, together they made up One Direction. 
    Tattoos- Zayn has multiple tattoos,  
       1. His grandfather, Walter's name in Arabic.
       2. Japanese symbol that means "born lucky"
       3. Ying Yang symbol on his left wrist
       

                                                      One Direction

     One Direction is an English/Irish boy band consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson. In 2010, each of them auditioned separately for X-Factor. Simon Cowell then decided after many weeks of performing on the X-Factor, to put them as a group now called One Direction. They signed in North America to Columbia Records.  In September 2011, One Direction released their debut single, "What Makes You Beautiful".  It ranked number 1 on the UK Singles Chart. Other singles, "Gotta Be You" and "One Thing" were ranked in the UK Singles Top 10. 

        One Direction attended the 2012 Brit Awards at which "What Makes You Beautiful" won for Best British Single. In December 2011, they started on their first UK tour, the Up All Night tour. The tour, resulting in 62 shows, ended up both critically and commercially. In May, 2012, they started recording their second album, Take Me Home. There album will be released on November 12 and will be bought by hundreds. 

                                                             Believe 
             In late 2011, Justin started to record his latest album "Believe". on February 22, 2012, Justin announced via Twitter that his first single on "Believe" was being released in March 2012. The next week, Justin appeared on "Ellen" and announced that his single will be called "Boyfriend" and will be released on March 26, 2012. The song debuted number 2 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
        His third studio album, "Believe" was released on June 19, 2012 by Island records. His album includes teen pop and R&B genres. Focusing on developing a more mature sound, Justin worked with a wide range of urban producers."Believe" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, with the first week sales of 374,000 copies. "Believe" was Justin's forth number one album. His third tour started in September 2012 and continues through 2013. Hopefully my mom gives in and lets me go to one of his concerts :)

                                                 Avalanna - Mrs. Bieber

          Avalanna Routh was a six year old girl who had a disease known as brain cancer. She was a die heart Justin Bieber fan and was nicknamed "Mrs.Bieber". Her family tried contacting Justin's manager and finally got in touch. They had Justin come and visit Avalanna without her knowing. Hopefully this would lift everybody's spirits and get Avalanna cheerful once again. When Justin heard about her story, he had to help.  When Justin and Avalanna met, it was love at first sight. They played games, bonded, talked, and got to know each other. When Justin heard that she wanted to be called Mrs.Bieber, he fell more in love. Justin kept visiting and wanting to hang out with her more and more. Soon, Justin and Avalanna were best friends, Avalanna's dream came true and that made Justin feel good. The months past and Avalanna was getting worse and worse. Avalanna past away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Everybody's hearts were broken, but soon recovered knowing that Avalanna was in a better place.

                                                           My World- 2.0
       While Justin was hit with all this fame, he started working on his second album, My World 2.0. "Baby" the lead single on his album was released in January 2010. It charted at #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Two other singles "Never Let You Go" and "U Smile", were top 30 hits on the US Hot 100, and top twenty hits in Canada. My World 2.0 also debuted at number one on the Canadian Album Chart, Irish Album Chart, Australian Albums Chart, and New Zealand Albums Chart and was in the top 10 in 15 other countries. Justin appeared on The View, 2010 Kids Choice Awards, Nightline,  Late Show with David Letterman, The Dome, and 106 and Park. Justin began recording his second album in July 2010 in NYC. At this point, his voice was deeper than it was when he recorded his first album. Justin couldn't hit all of the high notes in "Baby" so they had to change them around.

      A 3-D part biopic, part-concert film starring Justin Bieber entitled Justin Bieber: Never Say Never was released on February 11, 2011. It topped the box office with a gross of $12.4 million on its opening day from 3,105 theaters. Never Say Never reportedly exceeded industry expectations nearly matching the Hannah Montana Movie. The more publicity, the more fans this teen heart throb would get.

                                       2008-2009- My World

     Justin's first single "One Time" was released on the radio while he was still recording his first album, "My World". "One Time" reached number 12 on Canadian Hot 100 during the first week that is was released. During fall 2009, it had success in international markets.His first album, "My World" was released on November, 17 2009.  The albums second single, "One Less Lonely Girl" and two other singles "Love Me" and "Favorite Girl" were released on iTunes Store and charted within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. His first album was certified Platinum in the US and Double Platinum in Canada and the UK.

     Because of this album, Justin appeared and performed on several live shows such as: The Dome, The Today Show,The Wendy Williams Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, and Chelsea Lately.  Justin also performed for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House for Christmas in Washington. He was a presenter at the 52nd Grammy Awards on January 31, 2010. All this publicity created fans and a whole new world for Justin Bieber, new teen heart throb.
