It is celebrated for Jesus' birthday, but some people just celebrate it for the presents. The original celebration in Eastern Christianity was January 6th. "Christmas" is a compound word originating from the words, "Christs' Mass". Christmas is celebrated as a major festival all around the world , even for the "non Christians".  People often decorate with Christmas trees, wreaths, Santas, and more.
Some facts you might not know about Christmas are:

     2.Santa doesn't always have a beard.
     3. Santa's sleigh doesn't travel at the speed of light.
       4. Santa has a real postal code.
